Students Resume for 2016 Session

It is the dawn of another era at the Peter Akinola Foundation Youth Centre as over a hundred students from various communities spread across the nation, resumed for the 2016 vocational training session.

The first batch of students, 12 in number, came in on Friday night from Umuahia, Abia State led by their Youth Chaplain. Others started trickling in as early as 9am and their registration commenced earnestly.

As at 6pm in the evening, registration was still ongoing and there were about 102 students registered. The West African Gas Pipeline Company sent in over 50 students from two communities namely Badagry in Lagos State and Ado Odo/Otta in Ogun States.

It was really an exciting moment receiving all the students and they were all in bouyant mood to learn the trade they put in for.

After the day was coming to an end, the Coordinator of the Centre, Revd. Alfred Adelaja, gathered the students together for a short meeting, where he eulogised the Visioneer and  Founder of the Centre, His Grace Peter J. Akinola and told the gathered students about the vision behind the set up of the Centre.

He enjoined the students to embrace this lofty vision and be of good conduct during their stay on the Centre so that they can benefit immensely from the vision and become great in life. Revd. (Engr.) Tunji Oyeneye also chipped in few words of advice for the students.

They later dispersed to have their dinner.
